Why big companies produces such false ads to misslead inocent people?

garnier products claiming contains will stop hair loss and enhance growth

Why big companies produces such false ads to misslead inocent people?

They never do that , their is always a '*' mark for any claim. It is the responsibility of the consumer to go through each and every condition and then make any statement.

If Garnier is claiming to stop hair loss it means in some of the conditions the product is effective, like if your hairs are not getting proper nutrients , garnier products might help in supplying the same and this is clearly mentioned on their On pack communication.

Who says they are false? Are you a doctor? How do you know that Garnier DOESN'T stop hair loss?

That is why they get away with it, they must have some data to support their clam or they will get sued and they are not willing to pay millions on an ad to have someone sue them. Therefore, there is some data that must backup their clam.

It is a common feeling everyone has that advertisers lie to us, but that is not the case most times.

Why would they do that?

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

You bought it, they got what they were after.

If you can prove that claim made by the company's advertisment is false, you are free to pull the company in the court of law.

The claim has to be true and tested otherwise the advert is not allowed to be shown on tv, in a magazine or where ever.

However it does not necessarily have to be be tested under real life circumstances and could just be tested in laboratory conditions or more commonly on a small sample.

If you read the small print during ads they will usually say they are tested on around 100 people and about 85% agreed. In business if you were conduting accurate and representative surveys you are expected to test around 1000 people and get 95% result otherwise it shouldn't be considered accurate.

It is because of you and me keeping quiet and unconcerned about its effect to our own society I shall add a few more like colgate, Close Up, sell their toothpaste in combo pack as 20% off. However MRP is printed in the pack. I asked for a reduction of 20% from the MRP. I was told by the shopkeeper the MRP itself is a reduced price when you compare the price of normal single pack. If that is the case what is the meaning of MRP on the combo pack with the wordings 20% off. This is just to loot and lure the public. I couldnot get a bill and calll the their local office was totally not responding. To my shock even to their HO not even have the courtesy to listen to my STD calls and reply to my letters. This is a sheer exploitation of loopholes in the law and our inability to spare that sort of time.

Every second year some finance company or the other offer unimaginable benefits and they fall into their trap and regret at a later date to loose whatever they had..
